Estate Lawn System

A large, sun-baked estate lot upgraded with a multi-zone rotor system that brought a sweeping lawn back to deep, even green.

The Challenge

The expansive lot had thin, dusty turf and no coverage across the back half of the property. Big open areas demanded long-throw rotors with enough pressure and flow to water efficiently without ballooning the bill.

How We Did It

  1. 1

    Pressure & Flow Survey

We measured static pressure and available flow at the meter to size the mainline and group rotors so every zone runs at its design pressure.

  2. 2

    Zone Design for Big Turf

Long-throw gear-drive rotors were planned for the open lawn with matched precipitation rates, keeping coverage even from edge to edge.

  3. 3

    Trenching the Property

Mainlines and laterals were trenched across the lot with sleeving under hardscape, then pressure-tested before backfill.

  4. 4

    Smart Scheduling & Walk-Through

A weather-based controller was programmed per zone, and we walked the full property with the homeowner to fine-tune arcs and run times.

The Results

  • Even, deep green across the entire half-acre lawn.
  • Long-throw rotors cut overlap waste while covering open turf.
  • Weather-based scheduling keeps the big lawn healthy within local limits.
